Because children's martial arts has become such a lucrative market, many people think of MA as a kid's sport, like kickball or t-ball. In fact, more than once, when someone has learned that I practice Tae Kwon Do, they have responded with a smirk and a comment to the effect of "Yeah, my kid used to do that, but now he's into Little League."
